മാനികാവ് ശിവക്ഷേത്രം - Manikkavu Siva Temple

Manikkavu Siva Temple which is more than 6000 years old is situated in the village of Chudupara in Wayanad district. The tirtha water flowing from the jungles reaches the  temple on the eastern side anoint the Swayambhu Lingam. It is believed that this tirtha water has been in continuous motion for years. After the anointing, this water is used by the neighbours for agriculture and other purposes. The temple is located close to the 20 acre forest. There is approximately five acres of marsh in the jungle. There has been no dearth of water in and around the Manikkavu Siva Temple. This is one of the most significant Shiva lingams in India and Ascetics from the Haridwar / Himalayas have been confirmed the same.
